One window does nothing on W126
Here is the problem:
Drivers side front window does nothing. when you press the switch no noise at all. All three of the other windows work fine. A new window regulator and switch was replaced on that window in 1996. Any ideas? Bad motor?, short in wiring? I don't think it could be a fuse because I did a search and found out that the windows are cross connected, and if the fuse was bad the passenger rear window would also be out now. I don't know this for a fact but read a thread stating it. Thanks. 1983 380 SEL

Nope not a fuse. Open the door ,with the car not running try to let down the window and watch the dome light , does it blink when you hit the switch? If it does ok then your motor is getting voltage if not than you are not getting power to the window motor. Most times if it fades then bad motor, not fading try switching up the switch.

Euro 287
Euro 287...I just tried your suggestion and the dome light faded VERY slightly each time I hit the up or down window switch. Does this point to a bad motor, or could it be something else? Thanks.

Either a bad motor or frozen regulator time to pull the panel and check it out.
