Both electric fans should run simultaneously - low speed energized by a high pressure switch in the AC system (don't know offhand where it is located) and high speed based on a 105 deg. C coolant temperature switch.
I had a fan fail on my 2.6. Search for threads started by me for why it failed and how I repaired it. Duke |

Aux fan question
Ok, I have a question only one fan is on with the a\c .also I noticed the other fan will run when the car gets about 100 degrees.. so what do I check for on the other fan not running when the a\c is on.is there a relay are something. I really do appreciate your time thank you very much.

Sounds like low speed relay problem. Check the connections on the receiver drier to ensure everything is properly connected. Try switching the low speed relay with the high speed relay to see if the problem moves. To check this quickly: switch the 2 relays around, start the engine and then unplug the coolant temp sensor on the engine block to see if one or both fans come on high speed.
