W201/W124 Rear Subframe Mount?

So I was working on my 190E's exhaust tonight when I looked in the distance and saw the subframe mounting location. It looked like the subframe was "hanging down" to me, almost like it was not tight enough against the body. Maybe I am wrong and this is how it is supposed to be. I've never really worked on the subframe mount. I have removed the W126 subframe mount from the car body and it was an entirely different animal...

So my question is...is this normal? Does the subframe ride up and down? It could very well be...

Here are some pics:

yes the subframe is isolated from the body shell, it also actually moves when the wheels move up and down.

The most movement is at the front and in horizontal plane from left to right.

Ah! I suspected as much. So nothing abnormal here.

When I pull in to my drive way (at more than a crawl) with my 190E (lowered) I do hear a heavy clunk on the passenger rear side. I would hazard a guess that it is the subframe going up. Maybe, not sure.
