Did you see this? Looks like 6mm hex.

Yes,
the M104 C280 has the same bolts as other M104's.
The bolts tend to round inside and eventually it will be impossible to get them out with a regular short hex socket.

I use a high quality 6mm extended hex with ball end (don't cheap out on the socket,a cheap one will break and then you got the end sticking inside the bolt). With the ball end you'll be able to tilt the socket somewhat, enough to reach and get a grip to open the bold's. Don't use static force, I tap them with a hammer and usually they break lose.

If there are any signs of rounding, you'll be better off to replace all bolts. Also, as I think, the only way to get the old rounded ones out, is to carefully use a hammer and chisel. There are screw extractor, again, only use high quality, the cheap ones will break!

Don't overtighten the new ones (I believe they are only 20Nm), they seat an some kind of brass bushing and will cease, if over thightened. The rubber seals, should also be replaced, since they may be compressed and don't reseal too great. (Unmetered air)

Be wary of using a ball hex bit to remove tight bolts, I've had to rescue others on more than one occasion when they broke the ball off in the bolt head.

Can you get a small pair of vise grips on the bolt? Sometimes this works.

To get bolts broken loose, one possibility is to use a drift / flat punch at a 90* angle to the head to work it one way then the other to break the metal stiction. ( only do this once in each direction ) If you can get a drift straight on, hitting the head sometimes works, what you are doing is imprinting the bolt head into the metal reducing bolt tension.

Regular L shaped allen key

Allen bit cut short so a ratchet / breaker bar fits in.

Allen bit driven by a box wrench.

The ball type is fine to use once the bolt is broken loose.

For very stuborn bolts ill use 6mm ball allen with additional small vise grip, both used at same time to untwist, that way you lesson the chance of ball breaking off

If you're saying you rounded out the inside of the hex, you can try one of the ez-out sockets from Sears. They go down to 10mm - not sure what the outside diameter of your bolt is.

A Snap-On 1/4" drive 6mm allen swivel with a 3/8" to 1/4" reducer works great. I've done loads of 'em.
