Anyone have dealings with these guys? I'd post in the good / bad shops section but it seems to get little traffic and the tech section people are more likely to do their own work and buy parts.

They have a car that I'd like to get parts from but due to distance it would be done remotely.

Stuff I've after is easily shippable in a medium sized box.

I can't seem to find the website for Johns. I would like to verify the warranty information and testimonials. You may want to use a service like http:// Used Auto Parts – Car Parts – Truck Parts which will search all salvage yards to find parts. Of course I always want to give my business to local when possible.

Why don't you order 1-2 little things and see what happens? Is the town big enough to have a Chamber of Commerce? Have you "googled" them?

I found them through craigslist advertising a car ( 97 SL320 Smoke silver / black int, same as my car ) that I would like to get parts from, they have their inventory on Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

Once you get past the hood, fenders ,front bumper , headlights, the rest of the car is a slow mover. I'd like to build a "care package" of spares, computers , inst cluster, other misc 97 320 specific items that they will have a hard time selling. Because of this I won't pay retail. The yard is a distance away making a trip not worth it.

I may hit them with inst cluster and misc bits and see how it goes.
