Any impact strip options
My 1995 e320 wagon was rescued from the junk yard with multiple fractures in the front impact strip. I installed a paint-free flexible black strip from an older (93?) model and I like how it looks and functions.
Now someone in a parking lot has crushed the corner of the rear hard plastic rear impact strip. Is there a flexible rear impact strip that will fit my wagon? Or am I doomed to recurring trips to the body shop for paint jobs on a never-ending series of replacement strips fabricated in a plastic that is best reserved for use in plumbing fixtures? (I eliminated the impact strip from a 93 sedan. There may be other issues, but at a minimum the "wings" on that strip are too long.) |

Wagons have wagon-specific rear impact strips, unfortunately. The '93 sedan will be too long. Even more so on a '95 sedan.
They're all hard plastic. At least it crushed only the strip, and not the wagon tail lights.
