Hi guys , i just had this w123 200 1984 from my dad , it was parked for about three years now and i started rebuilding it in july , nothing major just the tyres and got the engine started till i take it to the workshop as soon as my money comes , at first it used to start great , my mechanic advised that i start it up twice a day for half a hour , so i did , till last week , the engine revs only at 2000 rpm ,, it used to work just fine , but now i hit the peddale to the meddal and nothing but a 1500 to 2000 rpm only , then it had a second problem , now it starts for 1 or 2 minutes then suddenly dies on me , i have to wait at least 10 minutes before re starting , i hope you guys could help me solve this issue ,, as soon as possible oh and before the first re start ve changed the sparks , engine oil , and every thing that needed to be done

Welcome aboard.
In all likelyhood the fuel flow is restricted. Start at the engine replacing fuel filters. Then follow the fuel line to where it goes into the tank above the area of the rear differential. There is a large "nut" looking fitting around where the hose connects. Remove it and inspect and clean the screen.

Check fuel pressure. It probably needs a fuel filter too if it sat for so long, collecting gunk from the old gas.
