W210 SRS light

Hi
The SRS Light is on pulled code B1000 (Airbag Module or tension to low).
No acidents just the battery was low now is ok after charging.
I just got the car last weekend fixed all other issues.
Where is the SRS module located will a module from another car work?
Its 2000 E320 4matic 180k mi.

To answer my own question maybe it will help someone in the future.
The airbag module is located under the ashtray center console.
Airbag module from another car will work with same part no. but has to be coded to cars airbag equipment. I have Carsoft 7.4 that did the job, SRS light is gone. New it was $1100 picked one up from local salvage yard for $60.

So the Carsoft 7.4 was used to re code the used Airbag module?
Or does it need to be coded by a MB technician with a specialized tool.

Yes Carsoft was used to recode the module. It's easy once you have Carsoft up and running top of the screen is menu under special function pops menu select SRS just follow onscreen guide it's just putting check mark yes and no to airbags equipment on car
