Catalytic Converter
Hi
I have a 2005 C-Class C320cdi diesel with the 165kw. 510 nm. motor with 7T autobox. As far as I know it does not have the diesel particulate filter. Does my car have have a catalytic converter? If so, apart from regulations, would it pay in terms of power and economy to remove it? |

I would assume your vehicle has some form of particulate filter. It is probably against the law to remove and would be caught during an inspection. Catalytic converters are used with gas/petrol engines. Diesels use particulate filters and/or urea injection to treat the exhaust.
Not a lot of knowledge here about your particular vehicle as it is not sold in the USA with those specifications.
