EIS opened up with pictures, 2002 S500
This is from a 2002 Mercedes S500 that recently got a new one. Does anyone know how to jump this thing out where I can start the car when it goes out? I'll take a mechanical tumbler all day long versus this piece of work.

Well, see, that's kinda the idea...
There isn't anywhere to simply jump it. They wanted it to be difficult to steal. So while you may be able to power some circuits up (useful for testing), you really won't be able to start it. How many steering column locks have you had to cut out? I'll take this style. MV |

I doubt it. Tell me what the IC part numbers are and I will look them up for you. But, I'd bet dollars for dimes that there is a little microprocessor in there somewhere that sends encoded data to the ECM.

Yup. It's that encoded data that's hard to come by.
