95 E320: rearview mirror removal
How do you properly remove the rearview mirror on a 95 E320 cabriolet? I need to get to the overhead lights and chase down a short. All I could find with a search is to yank down really hard.

If it's anything like my '85 300D, that's exactly how it comes off! I found it hard to believe too but it IS true
