I'd be worried Super77 isn't strong enough. I guess it gets a good test in Texas though!

My upholstery supply shops sells an off brand of spray contact adhesive that works fine, costs about $8. It says it's for hood pads on the label. I'm guessing 3M makes a fine profit margin selling contact glue for $25 a can. I'm sure 3M is great, but the trick is in the timing - wait too long and it won't stick at all. Here in the desert that's only 3 to 5 minutes, wait more than about 10 minutes and you've got to spray it again.
