Transmission fluid?
I read through the DYI pretty throughly and found only MB fluid mentioned. Is there and alternative? The closest dealership is in Chattanooga, 30 miles away.

You can get it just about anywhere, auto parts store, WalMart. It's the fluid formerly known as Dexron III, until GM took away the right to use the name.

I put that in my SD and it hated it.I went with Coastal ATF semi sync at Autozone

I second the recommendation of Dextron III. I have owned Mercedes for the past 12 years and used this tranny fluid. It's listed in the owner's manual.

mobil 1 full synthetic will work well, i use it in my SD

Don't waste your money on synthetics...
These transmissions need nothing but basic Dex III changed in 25k intervals. Valvoline Dex III / Valvoline Maxlife Dex III is more than good enough.
