2011 C300 operating temp

Just recently purchased a [12kmilage used] 2011 C300 sport 4-Matic. In normal driving the temp gauge indicates a tick above the 80C mark. Location - Northern VA - DEC ambient temp in the 40s- 50s. Is this normal operating temp for the C300??

I ask this cause my 97 c230 stays below 80 mark on cold days till really warmed up and usually never exceeds the 80 mark > unless in the infamous beltway madness.

That car has a 87-90C thermostat, so sounds like you are seeing normal temps.

The 1997 car should be slightly above 80C as well.

All my MBs, including my 97C and my 08C run slightly above 80 in normal operation
