Drain battery
The car is a 95 S320.
I have two drain batteries within the last three days. one was replaced two days ago, I will recharge the battery today. Does anyone have any idea? PSE pump? Jack |

I accidentally flipped the switch for the back seat light and never noticed it was on until the next day. Battery was deader than a mashed Texas armadillo!

could be any device which hasn't gone to sleep when the ignition is off. don't
think it would be a PSE pump as you probably would have heard it. only sure way would be to measure amperage with ignition off to get an idea how much of a draw it is, then begin to narrow down appliance which has similar draw.

As raymond says, if you can identify a steady draw then just start pulling fuses one at a time to see the effect and narrow things down.

Thank you for the replies.
I used a test light on the battery, and pulled all the fuses (front and back fuse boxes). But the test light did not turn off. The drained battery started while I was waiting for a tow due to a broken heater hose, when I turn on the hazard light on. some of the dash warning lights flash with the hazard light. None of the dask warning lights turn on at the left side, all of them work of the left side. However, the bright dash light works when the high beams are on. The car starts and run when the battery is fully charged. Jack |

Lower wire harness
Update:
I think it's the lower wire harness. Was not able to locate the connection into the firewall. I will remove the heat shield to verify. Jack |
