126 Blower motor
I need to replace the blower motor in my 1990 300SEL. I found a new one ( with fan) online at a reasonable price. After researching the forum I thought it seemed simple enough to do myself. I dropped the under dash cover on the right side expecting to see the motor but could not. I saw a black tube about 4"-5" diameter going to the right side of the dash from the center. My car is an air bag model, if that makes a difference. Where is the motor located? Am I wrong about the "simple enough to to myself" part?
Thanks for your help- Ken

You need to remove that black tube (the knee bar) and the airbag. The airbag is held in with one long bolt from the bottom, look and you'll see it.
