W124 replacement speedo cable
My speedo needle bounces quite a bit until I reach 60 km/h or so. I found a replacement made by a company called Gemo. Does anyone have any experience with these and if they are a good quality replacement?

Just to relay my experience -- I am on my 3rd Gemo replacement and I am still wobbling/bouncing/vibrating in varying degrees on my 300TE.
I'm beginning to believe it could be the speedohead itself now. Just keep this in mind. I cannot believe 3 different cables were of equally bad quality. I replaced 3 times due to thinking I kinked the cable during install, but now I doubt it.

Could GEMO be A Translation Problem ?
Issue for someone on the Western Pacific Rim ,trying to denote URO (Crap)
Parts? 'Can't find the V.D.O. Accelerator Cable Part? That's why Garmin makes Handheld GPS units.

Comradinski...
O.E.M. is like a "Blow-Up Doll" (OR Ellen Degenres).[Questionable,Aging "Rug" Merchant];
When compared to O.E. (OR Katrina Bowden).[Alleged "Sexiest Woman Alive"] As Much as I hate to Shill for them; V.D.O. should be your cable of Choice.

A dry bushing in the speedometer can cause bouncing if a new cable does not correct the problem.
I purchased a set of Gemo parking brake cables and they appear to be well made. Never tried their speedo cables. |
