Windshield Wipers

For some reason after the "Blizzard" that hit NYC, the other day. My Windshield wipers all of a sudden didnt' work at all, I can hear the motor of the wipers moving, but the wipers arn't. Any Ideas on what may be the problem? Anyone know how to dissasemble the wiper system. This is on my 93 500SEL.
