Anyone buy one lately?
why is it all the parts sites won't ship a Catalytic Converter to Calif?
anyone Know where I can get one for my 1990 300se with 160k on it I checked the parts at peach parts they don't have one How much do they cost anyone buy one lately? websites list about $308 for 49 states ![]() and how can you tell when its bad? cel came on .replaced o2 sensor.it came back on.one post says cat is shot. lowesguy, before buying a new catalytic converter based on an online diagnosis have a local indie (who knows MB automobiles) verify that you actually need one.

You get it on lift and hit it with your fist - preferably while cold and not hot. If it rattles inside, the insides are toast. If you hear nothing, it probably is still good.
