power steering hose

i have a 94 e420 i need to know how to take the low pressure return hose off of the car i can get to the front screw but the back screw i cant see it i can see it under the car once i crawl under the car

Remove the heat sheild

You should be able to do it easily if you remove the heat sheild.

Not an easy task...

I personally have yet to do this- but inquired from everyone over the past few weeks.
Take the exhaust pipe on the driverside off, then remove the hose attached to the steering gear(metal line) and then you can do it, replace hose- reverse proceedure.
Some have mentioned bending heat shield out of the way. Some some say you can finess it on with 2 ppl - but difficult (Len) suggested removing the exhuast with the finess move.
