please help ! 97e420 cam solenoid code

My recently bought 97 e420 has lost power above 3000rpm. it feels like an underpowered 4cyl now. the cel is saying p1519(rt cam timing solenoid) and also p0809 clutch sensor citrcuit intermittent. I am assuming its the cam code causing the power loss . Is this the part that is protruding out just below the valve cover that is round with wires coming out .There is a bosch cam sensor online for 70 dollars.is this the same as the cam solenoid ? Any advice would be great.

There is a com advance solenoid if front of each intake camshaft.

At designed RPM (2400-3200) that solenoid is activated & the camshaft is advanced about 22 deg.

You can test the resistance of each of those solenoids.

Replacement takes less than 20 minutes. Only 3 allen bolts hold the solenoid to the front cover.
