380sl cluster just stopped working.

I pulled the cluster to replace the the small gear on the speedo. I reinstalled the cluster making sure all the plugs were pluged in,turned on the key and all the light and turn signals seemed to work. I put the cluster back in, bolted the steering wheel back on, drove off and nothing is working. The following does not work. Tach, speedometer, oil pressure guage, gas guage, engine temp, turn signals, seat belt light and the windows will not go up or down. What does work is the clock, vaccumn guage, and the turn signals when used with the hazard switch. I checked all the fuses and I also checked the ground to the cluster and it is good, and I also rechecked all the plugins and they are good. Any one out there have any suggestions or help for me!

The plug on the back might be loose, or....that plug is keyed, and the "key" broke on mine. I had to look up the wiring to get it right. I can definitely see it not working/blowing fuses if not installed using the (possibly broken) key.
