Sliding roof problem
1991 190E 2.3
Here is another sliding roof problem. Roof works perfectly in all modes except when the roof is closed the drivers side rear corner sags and will not rise to the closed postion. If I take a paper clip bent into an "L" shape and put this under the corner of the roof and lift the corner as I operate the switch to close the roof, it will lift up to be flush with the roof. Once this is done the rear lift feature works repeatly without any problems. Any help would be appreciated. Last edited by bryantmt; 08-24-2001 at 10:38 AM. |

Could be as simple as adjusting the basic sunroof position in the roof, about 1 hour, or even a slight cable adjustment. But the most common problem is a failure of one of the lifting angles.
