Heater Lower regulator power source
Looking for a bit help, after deciding the blower motor was bad, and the fact I had another on the shelve, for my 93 300E, I went and replace it, no work bench test blower and it worked, went to forum again, must be bad regulator, yikes lots of money. Tested 3 prong power source to regulator, ground, power and more power, it worked. With ignition on, defrost on, blower set to auto, test the three prongs, good ground, but no power to either of the other prongs which source under the dash.
Checked fuses, I know should have done first, noticed the fuse for blower says outside fuse. OK where? there's small box to the side of the main box, with a white fuse and it tests OK, some mention a fusible link is that in front of the fuse box and next to the strut has a part # 123 540 04 50? IF so, how does one test that? Don't want to "yank it out" if it's not the "link". I'll go back to putting together the blower and that stuff, and await replies. Lesson to be drawn from this endeavor, and why only when it's cold out. Next on the list is a Mid and rear muffler, simple but so much fun. Thanks in advance Don 93 300E a car to love, but would love to hate, MB never heard of KISS |
