190E 2.5-16 Auto to Manual conversion?
Hi guys,
I have my car for a few years now, and enjoy every minute of it. Its an auto right hand drive. But i have always wondered about getting it converted to a manual 5 speed getrag box. My question's are...Is it worthwhile? Can i keep the cruise control? Is it a big job...? I know roughly what needs to be changed...It would be great to hear of others who may have done this conversion? Thanks Zak |

IF you rear many of the Auto to Man conversions threads, you will see that you need a "donor" car at your disposal to get ALL of the needed parts.
A good tech could do that swap in about hours 10-12 hrs with a donor car.

Its your lucky day! I have a 16v 5-speed parts car sitting in my garage that has the motor pulled but the full drive line in tact. Yes you can keep your cruise, as my 5-speed car has it. You may need to swap out cruise relays (which i have) Off the top of my head, i know you need:
Flywheel Driveshaft shifter assy + linkages pedal assembly slave cyl Possibly the mater cyl? and shifter wood + boot/knob Anyways PM me for details, i was thinking about using this for my sportline but i cant find a 2.6 5-speed flywheel anywhere
