300E 86' squeeky noises when turning

I am thinking its the bushings on the steering wheel, the noise can only be heard on the outside, this isnt belt related, it only happens when i turn, I have been told by some that to fix it can cost up to 2k, just wondering if anyone else has this problem, and what do you guys suggest i do?

Thanks

Probably just your lower ball joint worn out. Check to see if the boot on the ball joint is torn. If it is, spary a little WD40 and drive to see if it stops squeaking for a bit.

If so, then your ball joint is the problem. Replace them ASAP.
