sunroof leaks

1985 300D, need info on location of drain tubes and how and where they drain? on the drivers side I have a leak at the top of the side post and headliner area. On the passenger side water drains out in the middle of the jam area of the door. I'm sure the drivers side drain tube must be off, I tried to remove the front headliner but got as far as the rear view mirror and I don't know how to remove it. need help!

Do a search for W123 sunroof drains. There are several good threads discussing the location and repair.

It's been a long time since I did work on my sliding roof, but I seem to remember that each side has a drain hole at the front corner of the tray. A hose is connected to the drain and runs down inside the windshield support of each side and exits at the back of each front fender. If you pour water on the corner of the tray, and it is working properly, you will see the water exiting below the front fender.

Getting somewhere, THANKS FOLKS If the rear drains are blocked, how do you get to them. I can't see them do I need to remove the headliner and how? If I need to replace or reconnect the front drain tubes how do I get the rearview mirror off so I can remove the front section of the headliner. I"m new to MB my 57 champ Studebaker seems so very simple.
