124 central lock pump wiring

Hi there,

My round socket to my 124 central lock vacuum pump under the seat was shredded into pieces. Now I don't know where to put the 3 wires into what terminal.

Here's an image of where I am suppose to plug the wires into. Any help would much be appreciated.

What year and model?

The following applies to 94/95 E320....

Look very carefully at the pump pin connector socket. You should be able to see a small number identifying each pin. Pin 1 gets yellow wire(s), pin 2 gets blue wire(s), pin 3 gets green wire(s).

Hope this helps.

Hi J.M.

Thanks for the reply. Looked at the pump closely at the pins and I could not find any small numbers at all. The socket which plugs into the pump shattered and I can't read any numbers of them.

Think you can look at your pump in the same position as the image I attached? If you can, please post the results in this format.

UPPER LEFT = Wire Color? UPPER RIGHT = Wire Color?

LOWER - Wire Color?

X X
X

that's the layout with the round socket on the upper right when pump laid flat on bottom.

Thanks!

Francis

My E320's have an additional lock wiring connector located inside the foam block that houses the pump. It is a three pin round connector with a single blue wire, a single yellow wire and a single green wire. This connector is the same style as the one that plugs into the pump. My wiring shematics show this connector with the same pin number/wire color combinations referenced in my previous post. If you have this connector, you might be able to get the pin numbers/wire orientation from it. I would just look at mine, but that would require me to remove the pump from my car.....

Let me know if you have this connector...

By the way, what is the model and year of your vehicle?

Hi JM,

Thanks for the reply. My W124 is an 87' 250D Euro. Yes I have that exact round connector but it shredded to pieces. So all I have now are the wires dangling.

The best way would be to look at your pump with round connector with 3 wires plugged into it and let me know which wire goes where (left, right, down) with pump int the same position as the image on my first post.

Hope this is not to much work for you. Only on your free time. Or maybe if you can post the wiring schematics here? It might do the Job also.

Thanks so much! Will be waiting for your reply.

I have the plug part (pictured) that plugs into the pump (both of them) with a few inches of wire on them that was cut out of a car in the junk yard last week. If you want the plug ends, let me know. You are welcome to them. I only needed the pump motor and just cut the harness to make sure it matched mine and it did so I didn't need them.
