The wind flap/visor which raises when the sunroof is opened does not go down when the s/r is closed, in turn, it gets stuck. I followed advice from the board and lubed it good with some WD-40. On the sides of the f/r, there are two metal plates (which have springs connected to the visor), which get pushed down by the s/r when it closes. Problem is, just not enough. With the s/r open, I can manually push them down and the visor comes down.
Not sure what the fix is. I could juryrig it by epoxying something onto the metal plate which would reduce the distance between it and the s/r. Then the s/r would push the two plates down enough. Any other thoughts? |
