1988 300SE Fluctuating Idle Speed

Car starts normally but after it warms up, the RPM's fluctuate at idle speed.
Changed the idle speed controller and the OVP relay with no success to the problem. When slowing down to a stop, the rpm's drop slowly to 600 and then begin to go up and down between 600 and 1200. Stalls occasionally at idle speed.
Any HELP would be appreciated.
