Did you check the firing order? Also, check the gas at the injectors, there is a filter on the main hose entering the flowmeter, it can mislead you. If you are getting it at the injectors, it isnt a fuel problem.
Next, I would check the OVP relay, behind the battery. It has a 1O amp fuse. I would install new Bosch Super plugs, make sure you set the gap correctly. Check this and let me know. Hyder |

The altitude sensor affects cold start.
Cold start injector working? Mixture setting on MAF/Fuel Distributor at basic starting point? Does it draw a vacuum when engine is cranked? Is the Catalytic Converter plugged? These are the things I would consider before giving up on it. gw |

I do have fuel at the injectors and into the cylinder; wires are correct and there is spark to each plug, I just put champions in, could it be that the spark is not powerful enough? I could understand that not running as well, but at startup?; changed the gas out so there is good fuel and have tried starter fluid while cranking. Pulled the OVP, fuses on top are good, opened it up and it looks okay under glass and light;
History: sold a guy an E30 BMW and this was parked in his driveway; he said the fuel pump went and it has sat for a couple of years; someone stole the radio so there were ripped out wiring there; had to disconnect the alarm to keep the flashers off when the door was opened. I picked it up because I just hated to see it waste away in his driveway. I do not need the car, I have an '89 2.6 with 83kmiles on it; by giving up I mean stop trying so I can move it out and start work on an E30 track car sitting in the driveway. David |
