CA Smog Test Results - Message for Duke2.6
Duke, just had my car smogged for CA at test only (By the way how do you get on the gross polluter list like I apparently did? By brand and model and year or are individual vehicles like mine tagged somehow? Last 2 smogs have been test only.) By the way, gas cap failed and new gas cap I had in the trunk also failed. What's the deal with gas caps? He had an adapter for MB gas caps. We made a deal....
Never mind on the questions above got the answers from your posts on: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/92509-my-car-due-smog-cali-test-only-station.html#post615591 Still interested in your anaylsis below. Who knew smog test results could be so interesting? You're like a palm reader. So will my car visit the big parking lot in the sky at 175,754 miles? Wonder what your tea leaves say: 96 C280, 98,000 miles 15 MPH RPM: 1520 CO2% Measured: 14.6 O2%: 0.0 HC, Max: 51, AVE: 9, Meas: 51 CO% Max:.48, AVE: 0.02, Meas: 0.03. when i first got my 124 the tech dong the smog check was trying to failit, saying a disconnected hose near the air cleaner was the fuel pump regulator. and he couldnt, in all fairness, continue to test the car since it had already failed. i had to set him straight about that.
then he tried to fail me on the gas cap. so i looked him dead in the eye and told him if he wanted to test the car again after i came back from pep boys he was free to do so. i did get a free retest after all. lets just say i passed.
