My 300TE's GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) is 4700 pounds.

I am trying to figure the wagon's actual weight from that number. Any suggestions?

Yes, in an effort to cut weight and increas mpg, Benz went on a weight loss "diet." The use of aluminum (as in the hood) and a lot more plastic parts resulted on a major weight loss.

Still, the wagons have stouter suspension components and additional reinforcement, making them heavier than their sedans counterparts.
