i suspect the idle valve, however i also suspect the air flow sensor, it does not rest at the proper height, most of them have that little bit of "bounce" but mine does not. also when i'm on the highway, if i stomp the pedal to the floor, it hesitates, and runs like crap, i let up on the pedal and it accelerates with more powe. this is really confusing me, i have to rework everything i know about pushing a gas pedal to get any kind of acceleration it seems, since when does a car accelerate better when you don't push the pedal all they way down? what parts have gone sour?

CIS injection
If you ask me CIS injection is horrible to diagnose- I'll take good old multi-port injection (much more reliable) Had it wit these German cars!!! Everything is an electrical problem! Goodluck, Maybe buy a FORD!!

That's not much of a positive outlook! I'm going to try the electro whatever it's called, HEY it's early I'm tired. Than the brain. Wish me luck! And send me some more positve and perhaps "better" advice.

I had exactly the symptoms you describe and it turned out to be the fuel distributor.
