Got my Euros today...
I got my Euros today. I went with the Bosch from Performance Parts. As a member of the MBCA I get a 15% discount. So I figure it is worth it to buy the Bosch.
The lights come in a kit form, the light assemblies, the bulbs, the 6-pin connectors, etc. I also bought the lower valances, so I can get rid of the washers. I'll try to install them this weekend. I'll post pics. I'll also expect to have some spare parts for sale. Thanks to all of you who posted very useful information.

There is no better upgrade on an early W124 than euro headlights.

I'll wire the "parking" light and the vacuum switch at a later time. I removed the wiper motors. I need to take the valances (bottom covers) to my local body shop to have them paint them. In th emean time I'll drive with two holes in the valances. I'll post pics later. Overall, I'd say that the install in my former W126 was a little bit easier than in the W124. It just felt that way. You're right Paul, the car already looks a lot better.

i got my euros from Katmac...couldn't be happier.... i think they were about 240 dollars..
i took the bottom plates from our 260e... and put them on the CE... then put the CE's stock lights on the 260... complete with wiper blades...although the wipers aren't hooked up... they are worthless anyway..

Euro Headlights--Help deciding
I agree w/ the Euro-choice guys. Due to a fender bender, I had to replace a headlamp on my 280E. I couldn't find a matching Hella, so I put on a pair of aftermarkets from Katmac to use until I can find some more Hellas or Boschs. The glass on the Katmacs is great, but the electrical connections and retaining clips are low quality. The housings are also thinner plastic than the OEM. As far as lighting the road, they are fine.
