After the catastrophic timing chain follower problem, my engine has a miss. It sat for three and a half months. The mechanic says fuel distributor. I say I can't afford it. By the way, how much confidence should I have in the Mitchell flat rate guide that allows 46 hours to replace a short block but only 22 for new rings? I got charged $4600 labor to pull the engine and put in a used piston and reassemble it. This is at a $60 per hour rate. Parts and head rebuild were extra. Now, I've got a miss I can't afford to fix. Anybody make a rebuild kit for this?
