can a 190E 2.3 fan clutch be used in place of a fluid fan clutch?
There's a lot of churn over when the fluid fan clutch should engage and how many have been replaced that were in good order. To throw another dimension into that discussion, can the electric fan clutch from a 190E fan be used in other engines? What are the switch on and off points for the fan? Does it use a 105/115 type switch or is there a more complex control system?

I don't know what the mounting points are and if they are compatible but I think the electric fan takes up more room than the clutch setup. But if you get it mounted all you'll need is the fan switch and relay. The red fan switch closes at 100C but when its very hot outside the temp gauge can continue to go to 105C at idle before bringing the temps down. The switch opens at 92-93C.
