I hope this is of some value to someone with power window woes on 124's. After my wife had some body work done on the LF door of her '95 E320T, the window went down but not up, but it was working when it left the body shop. A check of the output from the covenience control module showed no output to the window motor in the up mode. Inputs from the window switch were okay. I figured that I had nothing to lose by opening up the module, it would, at worst, have to be replaced anyway.
There, I found a burned fusible link on the board. I replaced the link with leads to an external fuse holder and tried several fuses until I found one that survived holding the window up in the stalled position for a few seconds, 15 amps in this case, then replaced that with a self resetting circuit breaker. Has been working fine for a year and a half. I don't know what this module costs, if it was priced with the same formula as the electronic throttle actuator it should be about $750. This fix might be worth a try. I do have photos of this procedure but could not get the "insert image" feature of this post to work.
Thanks to all who have contributed replies to my other tech questions, especially Arthur Dalton and Steve Brotherton. Keep up the good work.
