Air Cleaner fasteners
I'm loving this forum. Thanks to Steve my car is getting better. I just thought while I am at it I would try to tackle another (although much smaller) problem.
I am looking for fasteners for the air cleaner housing. It is missing three on the bottom. Despite the extra dust getting in there it also makes this old diesel considerably louder as this causes the pieces to vibrate together. I'm not necessarily asking anyone if they know specifically what this part looks like, but where i could get such tiny parts without having to buy a new housing with it. Anyway, if you do want to know specifically what these fasteners look like, they are metal with a joint in the middle and are for an 86 190d 2.5. In the meantime i figured plastic ties would do the trick. Thanks! |

Thanks, I'll do that. It seems like it's getting louder and louder...
