interior light does not come on when any door opens
I the interior light use to come on for a few seconds once I opened and closed the doors but now it only comes on when I switch it on above the mirror.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Model would help here, as many have a switch position feature that keeps the door lamps from coming on.. it is just you may have it set to this feature/setting . but I do not know for sure b/c you have not included a chassis/model .

The feature is for those who do not want the interior lamps to come on when opening any door. |

As Arthur says, there are three positions to that switch, always on, always off and on when the door opens.

is the bulb burned out? and is it getting power at all? It should come on in one of the three positions regardless of any other issues...

You may have a bad delay relay in the Dome Control module. that is in the door/light delay circuit. It is fused , so try the fuse box for power.

I was just going to start a thread about the same subject and will just add here. I have a 1994 E320 and the dome light doesn't work anymore with the drivers door only, all other door switches work nornally, along with the dome light this switch seems to run the key buzzer and lets the power seat have power if the engine is off. I have jumpered the switch and it is OK, is there a relay? I can't find any bad fuses and the dome works fine anyway. Thanks for the help.
