190e-16v fuel puddle inside manifold

I have removed the airmeter(plentum) assembly and throttle body assemblies from the car, found fuel puddling inside of intake. Obviously an internal leak. I have three questions

1.) If the fuel injectors are leaking down will the fuel puddle in the manifold?

2.) I think the other 2 possibilities would be the cold start injector or the fuel distributor. How do I test with the parts for leaking if I have them removed from the car?
3.) Which of the three or two components would someone with experience start testing first? The injector are the steel units.

Thanks for your support

Question

Of course the fuel distributor is the common problem for that happening! NOT a problem unless the engine has starting problems!

WHAT is (was) the original problem ?

190e 16v runs rich when first started, high idle

The original problem was the engine is running very rich when first started, hot or cold a warm start of course requires full throttle. Also has s high Idle problem when trying to solve the high idle problem by replacing the faulty throttle body switch is when I found the excess gas in the manifold.

Thanks again

Did you get it back together? Did the throttle switch solve the high idle problem (as has been suggested by the techs here is a common problem)?

Russell
