87 124 300e steering box seal
Can anyone tell me if the bottom seal can be replaced without removing the box from the vehicle? I would also like to know of a link to a schematic of the box if anyone knows where it can be found. I have searched here, and on the web in quite a bit of depth, with no satisfactory results.
Many thanks in advance |

Yes, the pitman shaft seal can be replaced with the steering gear on the vehicle. Other than Mercedes service literature, I don't of know of any other sources for steering gear service information, but it might be in the Haynes manual.
