99' SLK230, Idler pulley bad. But which one?
Had my 99' SLK230 in for an A service at about 55K and the service adviser told me that the tech says one (I hope it's just one) of the idler pulley it going bad. He said I should be good for a few more months before it has to be done. I was just wonder if there's any ONE pulley that tends to go bad or do all 3 just give up the ghost about the same time?

There isn't any particular one that will go bad. Just replace what you need to. It's not a common occurance for your engine, but not unheard of on any car/engine.

And what's the best way to tell which of the three is the bad one?

Take the belts off and check each idler pulley individually for bearing play and roughness.
If there really is a failing pulley then you'll find it.
