Hello all. My 240d (1983 76K) parking brake won't hold in the upright position.
Is there a easy fix? I have the manual on cd and it seems very convoluted to correct. thanks all...

Not familiar with your particular car, but mine has a coil spring that pulls the pedal back up when its released. It seems like having the cables tight enough to pull the pedal up might make the brake shoes drag a little. Just thinking out loud.
