W140 V8 question

Dear All,
I was playing ebay for a while and i am wondering if the 97-99V8 engine is slightly different then the 92-95? If so, what kind of changes are they? Is the 97-99 engine does not have wiring haness problem compare with the 94/5 one? or it is just too early to tell?
thanks

In 96 or 97 the following changed:

- fuel injection system, including OBD II
- one coil per cylinder instead of one distributor per bank
- revised wiring harness insulation to prevent degradation

There might be other changes.

The transmission went from 4-speed with 2nd gear start (722.4) to 5-speed (722.6).
