500E springs for an E420?
Will springs from a 1992-3 500E work on my 1995 E420? I'd like to get a better ride (better handling) and thought 500e springs might be the way to go.
Thanks, Troy K. 1995 E420 85k |

Doesn't the 500E use automatic adjusting airbags in the rear, like in the wagons?

On a somewhat related subject I recently ordered Bilsteins for my 400E. When they arrived the fronts were heavy duty and the rears were comfort. I called the supplier to report the shipping error and was told that that is what "Mercedes" is now recommending on the V8 124s. The Bilstein website said nothing about it but the Bilstein website is something of an embarassment to begin with. So I put em on. Shipping error or not I'm quite pleased with the result.

Put the 500E sway bars on your E420. Forget the springs, too hard to change. Make sure your ball joints and bushings are in tip top shape because you'll be taking the corners a lot faster.
