To all of you involved in the creation and maintenance of MercedesShop.com:
THIS SITE NEEDS A WARNING LABEL: EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE AND HABIT FORMING!!!
I have only been a member for approximately a month, but this site has already become my home page! I have saved money because of this site, solved various problems using the Tech Search, and met several interesting fellow Mercedes enthusiasts! But this site is TOO addictive! I find myself checking the forums twice a day and logging on to search for problems with automobiles I sold years ago!!!
This is the Best site I have found on the internet and I have and will recommend it to ALL of my fellow Mercedes enthusiasts. I just wanted to express my appreciation and encourage those involved to PLEASE continue to keep up the GREAT work!!!
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Peter Ruiz de Castilla

Thank you very much for your kind words Peter. I'm glad we have been able to help and make MB ownership more interesting for you. Let us know if you can think of ways to improve (short of the addiction warning label...j/k)

Thanks again....Lee

I agree! I probably hit this site like 5 times a day and read almost all the posts, even the ones that have nothing to do with my car. Thanks for this great site, it's an invaluable resource!

Ok, I've got to say it...
Just don't blame us when you wife or girlfriend leaves you or your dog no longer recognizes you because you spend all of your time on MercedesShop!
As my attorney told me to say: "We cannot be held responsible for anything bad that you might want to blame us for"
...well, maybe he didn't say that EXACTLY but, that was his drift.

DITTO!!!

I have only owned a Mercedes for a little over a year, and never once spent any time on the Web actively looking for Mercedes related info. Then things changed, I found MercedesShop 3 months ago and I can't get enough! I check the site daily, sometimes 3-4 times a day, "Ooboy, what did I miss!", BocaBenzs is right, this site needs a Warning Label.

My wife thinks I'm loosing it a little because of all the post I read, "Why do you need to know about a 83' 300SD rear windows not working? We don't own that!", "Honey, don't you remember, I'm looking for a Cream Puff 300SD so it can last us forever, it'll go to 400k and BEYOND, I swear!" , I'll stop right there, you get the point!
Thanks everybody for doing such a fine job and putting up with this post, after all you all, you are what makes it GREAT.

Lucky for me the wife is on swing shift right now, and I'm on days. I get to hit the site "at will" between wiping noses and other parts. Find myself constantly checking, multiple reason. I like to learn, ocassionally I can help, and how better to study my next Benz? Hope to start shopping for a 126 300SD within the next 6 months. Learning all I can.

Also, experience withdrawls symptoms when the wife has the night off, hmmm, could be addictive...I'll let you know when the diagnoisis is in.

I have to agree with all of the above. My wife thinks I am nuts. I come on this site many times a day and read post after post. I will read about someones problem and then run outside and make sure my car doesn't have that problem. This site has saved me thousdands of dollars in potential repairs and many hours of trouble shooting by its existance. By the way, I too am looking for a cream puff 82-85 300SD.

Dittos. I was really hooked and then had two trips to Europe in which I had to go through cold tukey withdrawal. It was difficult to have a telephone adapter for that country AND a power adapter for that country AND a hotel phone system where I could manage to get PAL to give me a connection. So most days it was cold turkey.

Cold turkey is a horrible thing to go through, lying in bed in a cold sweat, with the shakes, nightmares, it's awful. It's worse than a broken timing chain in a four cam V-8. The hardest part is trying to log on with the shakes. As much as I enjoy going to Europe, it's always great to get back to easy connection and M-Shop.

Keep up the good work,
Larry

Glad to have you back Larry. Hopefully the rest of your time/trip in Europe made up for it.

I agree, it's addictive. As with any addiction, its power comes from the good feeling one gets from the addiction, and right now the feelings are good.

Great site, way too much information to read at one sitting.

This is why the Internet was invented, eh?
