Issues with blower circuit. Differential diagnosis. Please help

I've been troubleshooting A/C on my 1991 300D. Seems to be intermittent.

So I started by replacing the Resistor and Blower Motor.

Still intermittent. Funny that it works for a few minutes...

'91 300D 2.5 Sunroof "Pops up" but won't "Slide back"

Wondering if anyone has any input on this. I do know that the motor runs and tries to pull the sunroof back, but it seems that it's binding on something.

Well. I tried heat, that didn't work out. I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to have to cut the mount off, and then try to find a replacement nut. I shouldn't have to do it this way....
