Question Question about footwear?

My Birkenstock Boston clogs get pretty beaten up in the winter, but I still like the convenience of a slip on/slip off shoe. So I was thinking yesterday late at night what I should get that could be a true all season shoe that is durable, comfortable, and convenient...

Dutch Wooden Clogs.

Similar to these.

They have many different colors. They are supposed to be worn with socks, which is good.

Anyone have any experiecne with these? Are they comfortable?

They are rated as a safety shoe too: the manufacturer dropped a 500LB curb stone on them while they were on his feet.

Any experience? I don't want to pay 43 dollars and find out I can't walk in them.
