My Birkenstock Boston clogs get pretty beaten up in the winter, but I still like the convenience of a slip on/slip off shoe. So I was thinking yesterday late at night what I should get that could be a true all season shoe that is durable, comfortable, and convenient...
Dutch Wooden Clogs. Similar to these. ![]() They have many different colors. They are supposed to be worn with socks, which is good. Anyone have any experiecne with these? Are they comfortable? They are rated as a safety shoe too: the manufacturer dropped a 500LB curb stone on them while they were on his feet. Any experience? I don't want to pay 43 dollars and find out I can't walk in them. |

I remember putting a pair on one day to satisfy curiosity, but ould never wear them in public. They felt like a pair of 2X4's strapped to my feet. The traction is like greasing a 2x4 and walking.

Oh
No mine aren't that beat up, I do use the cork life, but these wooden ones just looked so neat.

Hmm
My Birkenstock Boston Clogs are made of wool, I want the leather ones for general use. Like the brownish Nubuck material. The wool gets very hot.

Narwal, if properly painted they could double as Teal decoys

Hmm
Well I think my best bet is an investment in some Birkenstock brown Boston Clogs.
The wooden ones still seem cool though ![]() |
